Composition Backstory

I wrote this as a female vocal with children’s choir. But I’ve only recorded the children’s choir so far. This track is the children’s choir part.

Track Backstory

100 years ago or so, a poor mother and her children awake at sunrise. They have a long journey ahead, to reach the fields where they will work all day.

After a long day of hard work, the little family rest at sunset, before setting out on their long journey back home.

The mother sings of the long journeys to and from the fields, and her dreams of a different life.

But sadly, everything is, and always will be, the same ‘always’.
